Joe Biden sounded angry and strident last night at the democratic convention in Chicago. Joe Biden is angry but not at the republicans, he is angry at the people who forced him to quit the race for the presidency, he still does not speak to Nancy Pelosi. The truth is Joe Biden is too old to be president, so is Donald Trump, campaigning in Pennsylvania, thought he was in North Carolina; he makes mental mistakes all the time, he slurs his words, he confuses names, he fell asleep at his criminal trial daily. I am seventy-nine going on eighty, I would fall asleep too, but I am not running for president. I was around when Ronald Regan was president, then the oldest man to occupy the office. A reporter said, who had known him for years, that when she was in the oval office to interview him, he did not know who she was; this was during the second term of his presidency; diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease after he left the presidency; a coterie of supplicants, including his wife, hid the truth from the public while he was in office. Donald Trump is too old to be president, time is not on his side.
