Now you see the brutality of the federal government. Now you see what federal prosecutors can do, to a flawed American with a drug problem. Now you see the ruthlessness of federal prosecutors when they decide they want to take you down. No compassion, understanding, empathy, the lead prosecutor said it best, “you see those three rows of supporters for the defendant, they are not evidence,” ‘the message is clear, do not let your emotions get in the way, convict the defendant on the facts.’ And what did the defendant do to reserve this treatment, he lied about being a drug addict on a form required to buy a firearm. Did he use a gun in a crime? No! Did he use a gun at all? No! He lied, and when did this crime happen? He bought the gun in 2018, 6 years ago, and he is no longer taking drugs, which is a good thing, isn’t it? Now you see the viciousness of the federal government. I know what it is like, I have been on the other side of it.
