I wanted to write a blog
I wrote a blog a few months ago that I reviewed September 29, 2021. The title of the blog is “there is no other way.” I mistakenly say that six people died because of the insurrection, including Brian Sickland, a Capital police officer. But Brian Siskland didn’t die on January 6, 2021. He died a day later from natural causes, suffering two strokes. Sprayed with an irritant, i.e., pepper sprayed, by two insurrectionists did not cause his death. Ashli Babbitt, an insurrectionist, was shot and killed by a Capitol Police Officer, but I didn’t mention her in the blog. She is regarded as a martyr by the MAGA movement and its leader, Donald Trump. The officer could have fired a warning shot, but he shouted verbal commands instead, and when she attempted to enter the corridor leading to the House Chambers through a broken window, he shot and killed her. She was fighting for what she believed in, to prevent a duly elected President Joe Biden from assuming his role, and reinstating a former President, Donald Trump, even though he lost the election. She died for a cause, believing the election was fraudulent even though there was no evidence of fraud. One could say her death was meaningless, but she is a fallen hero to the MAGA crowd. One person’s freedom fighter is another person’s terrorist.
