Free Will
Autocrats get you to violate your principles, your beliefs. An example is the republican Cuban American US Representatives in Miami, Fl, who agree with Trump’s policy of revoking the ‘favored treatment status’ of Cuban immigrants. Their parents and grandparents came from Cuba seeking asylum and awarded US citizenship. But the autocrats’ ambition is to destroy free will and substitute their will for your own. They decide all things relevant, and you, a vessel of their desires. This political gamesmanship of ‘reverence to a leader’ is more dangerous than it seems. “Never again, will you be capable of love, or friendship, or joy of living, or laughter, or curiosity, or courage, or integrity. You will be hollow. We shall squeeze you empty, and then we shall fill you with ourselves.”[1]
