Al Green
I emailed my congressperson, saying I would not vote for him because he voted to censure his fellow congressperson Al Green for causing a disturbance on the House floor during a speech by Donald Trump, the President of the US. I said in part “be a warrior, not a you know what.” I meant a pussy, not a cat, a woman. I was wrong to say, “not a you know what.” A pussy is a derogative term for a woman and should never be said. It is as bad as saying, “a wop,” “a nigger,” a “kike,” and on and on and on.,,,,,,, What I meant to say is, do not be weak, stand up for democratic principles, and freedom, the most important principle of all. Donald Trump and Elon Musk are eviscerating the government, hollowing it out, destroying its functions, not by legislative feat, but by Executive Order, a piece of paper Trump scribbles on at his desk. So, when someone is fighting to preserve freedom, I deem it an act of courage, and a vote to censure this person is for me, an act of cowardice. Al Green stood up for freedom, a censure is a badge of honor.
